Mountain Country Christmas in Lights 2020
Hiawassee, GA. A holiday treat for the entire family at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds along the shores of beautiful Lake Chatuge in the Northeast Georgia mountains. The fairgrounds will be transformed into a spectacular and magical holiday light show, with special Christmas music provided by local churches, art & craft vendors, holiday food, hot chocolate, and of course a visit and pictures with Santa! New for 2020: COWTOWN. A live exhibit with an old time creamery where you can prepare a cow for milking by hand. Kids get hands-on experiences with making butter, ice cream, and soap using historic tools and machines. “Home Made” just the way grandma used to do it! Santa Express Blue Ridge Scenic Railway
Blue Ridge, GA. Celebrate the season with a visit to Santa and Mrs. Claus in their specially decorated caboose and then enjoy a one-hour train ride with a Christmas story, singing and fun. Each child will receive the traditional Blue Ridge Scenic railway sleigh bell and a candy cane. Due to ongoing concerns with Covid-19 Santa and Mrs. Claus will not be on the train this year. They will be available for visits with the children in their specially decorated caboose at the Depot. We are sorry but children will not be allowed to sit on Santa’s lap or to hug him or Mrs. Claus.
