Something New for I Do is a marketing and public relations company for wedding vendors, as well as a planning resource for brides. Born out of a shared love for the business and bridal side of the wedding industry, the company was founded by a mother and daughter duo, Debbie and Kristen Ley. Debbie is a respected entrepreneur with decades of experience in hospitality and professional service, while daughter Kristen is the team’s marketing and public relations guru. Combined, they are bringing a fresh approach to making your special day something to remember.
Something New for I Do first came to Ball Ground to assist an up-and-coming wedding venue that was looking to fund a new barn. Using their talents and resources, the mother-daughter duo helped the venue increase bookings and sales, thus growing the business and making the barn a reality.
Through their success, new opportunities arose for other local wedding vendors. Debbie and Kristen decided to plant roots and opened a wedding planning boutique in Ball Ground’s old general store. The building quickly filled with wedding products and services, requiring an expansion into the property’s warehouse. After realizing the potential of the buildings, the storefront went virtual and became BridalGround.com. Something New for I Do restored the buildings to create two beautiful wedding and event spaces, now known as The Corner District. Not only is this space a wonderful new venue, but it is the place in north Georgia to find all the newest and latest wedding trends. From Food Truck Receptions, to highly styled Gatsby rehearsal dinners, or a Wedding with a Low Country Boil, the team is dedicated to making your “i do” unique to you.
