Blue Ridge Mountain Trail Rides at Hells Hollow

Bring the entire family to enjoy this Blue Ridge favorite at Hells Hollow

As we bid farewell to another summer and the kids get back on the school bus, the air begins to cool and we all long for the nostalgic smells of the fall season. At the Blue Ridge Mountain Trail Rides at Hells Hollow, guests of all ages are invited to climb a top a majestic horse and experience the sights, sounds and smells of fall in the crisp mountain environment. With breathtaking views of the Cohutta Mountains and trails for every skill level, the Blue Ridge Mountain Trail Rides at Hells Hollow will give you and your family the perfect introduction to the fall season and give each and every one of you memories to last a lifetime.

Ride along with one of the trail’s very well trained, experienced guides and view the beautiful Cohutta Mountains rise against the North Georgia sky. In fact, the Cohutta Mountains are some of the oldest known mountains in the entire world and the Cohutta Wilderness is the second largest wilderness in Georgia. These trails are so deep in nature that for a while, the trail’s attendants enjoyed the company of a curious bear who would sit in the trees and enjoy the fresh air with his human friends. At Blue Ridge Mountain Trail Rides, friendship, hospitality and a love for the great outdoors are all a huge part of a mission and passion for horseback riding.

Blue Ridge Mountain Trail RidesJoin the trail guides as they guide you through a variety of relaxing rides. Owner of the trails, Wade Whelchel couldn’t be more thrilled with the success and popularity of the trails. Having purchased the business in the 1990’s, Wade has not only built the business; he has also built a warm reputation to go along with it. When Wade found the barn years ago, it was in great need of repair. Wade saw the potential and poured his heart into making the trails what they are today, a place for individuals and families to escape, relax and have a great time. In fact, the trails have expanded to bring more welcome to their younger guests. Wade explains, “We’ve been working toward family rides.”

For the enjoyment of younger children, the trails now offer a Pony-Go-Round. Kids will absolutely love their first riding experience. It is also great exposure which may enable them to grow into more experienced riders. Along with the trails and pony rides, the property also carries a zip line. While picnicking by the Hollow, little ones can feed the trout. Kids absolutely love watching the beautiful fish leap up and out of the water to grab the food. At the trails, every animal is respected and cherished.

The horses on the property are very well cared for and loved. All the attendants believe the relationships with the horses have a major impact on each guest’s experience. The barn manager explains, “We go the extra mile. We show the horses love, and we get a loving attitude in return.” Because the horses are so happy and well cared for, they can be knowledgeably matched with a rider. This level of care helps to add an extra level of safety to every trail ride.

For years now, the Blue Ridge Mountain Trail Rides at Hells Hollow have proven to be one of the most relaxing, adventurous and beautiful activities in North Georgia. Come by yourself or bring the entire family to enjoy this Blue Ridge favorite. No matter what your riding skill level, the folks at these trails will keep you safe and ensure you have a wonderful time building great memories. This fall season, be sure to join the Blue Ridge Mountain Trail team and experience the fall colors the way they were meant to be experienced. They guarantee you’ll have the best seat in the house.
